What we collect: your email address, your username, and the content you choose to post — listening logs, ratings, reviews, lists, and follows. We do not collect anything else.

Why we collect it: your email address is used to sign in, reset your password, and verify your account. We do not use it for marketing, and we never share it with anyone.

How it's protected: passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes — we cannot see them, and neither can anyone else. Your email address is never displayed on the site.

What we will never do: sell your data, show you advertising, or place third-party trackers on this site.

The tip jar: Soundscapd has an optional tip jar at ko-fi.com/soundscapd. Payments happen entirely on Ko-fi's site — Soundscapd never sees or stores any payment information.

What's public: your profile, listening logs, ratings, reviews, lists, and shelf are visible to anyone, as on any social site.

Where the album data comes from: the iTunes Search API, MusicBrainz, and the Cover Art Archive. We cache album metadata; we do not send these services any information about you.

Deleting your account: you can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, email address, logs, ratings, reviews, lists, and comments are all removed. If you have any trouble, email support@soundscapd.com and we will delete it for you.
